September photo contest results announced
Entries focused on theme of 'Connection'

Sixty-nine students entered JEANC’s first monthly photo contest, representing 11 NorCal junior high, middle school and high school programs taught by adviser members. Judges ranked and discussed 136 entries based on the Sept. 28 submission deadline.
Based on the theme “Connection,” September winners are:
First Place: Ameena Pierstorff, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)
Second Place: Mira Bhatt, Carlmont High School (Justin Raisner, adviser)
Third Place: Emma Wagner, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)
Honorable Mention: Claire Stanton, Carlmont High School (Justin Raisner, adviser)
Honorable Mention: Kiara Zanfei, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)
This critique video showcases a sampling of 20+ submissions so students can learn from judges’ feedback and gain inspiration from the work of their peers.
The October contest theme is “Layers.” Students of adviser members may enter up to three images taken beginning Oct. 1 and submitted by Oct. 28 at 11:59 p.m.
