Best of the West contest information
In order to honor the overall work our Northern California programs are doing, JEANC is offering Best of the West as a complement to our annual contest. First, Second and Third Place in Best of the West will be awarded to publications based on an evaluation of their overall work throughout the year. Entrants will submit a set of issues, shows or spreads in order to give judges a sense of what their publication has produced over the course of the year.
This award differs from the Best of Show award at our NorCal Media Day in that we hope a wider array of programs will be represented, since there is no in-person component. While staffs will be submitting a representative set of publications, this is not a critique and there will be no feedback on the entries.
Because this is a separate contest, programs are not eligible to use their three free contest entries as part of Best of the West.
Please fill out the Best of the West Entry Form once for each program and submit the appropriate files for that publication. Each entry is $25.
