October photo contest results announced

Entries focused on the theme of 'layers'

Based on the theme “layers,” JEANC’s October monthly photo contest yielded 69 submissions representing 34 students at 12 NorCal junior high, middle school and high school programs taught by adviser members. Judges Casey Nichols, Sarah Nichols and Betsy Snow reviewed entries online after the Oct. 28 submission deadline and first released results Nov. 1 on Twitter and Facebook.

October winners include:

First Place: Jessica Wang, Henry M. Gunn High School (Kristy Blackburn, adviser)

Second Place: Analyn Do, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)

Third Place: Ameena Pierstorff, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)

Honorable Mention: Delia Andersen, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)

This critique video showcases a sampling of 15+ submissions so students can learn from judges’ feedback and gain inspiration from the work of their peers.

The November contest theme is “abundance.” Students of adviser members may enter up to three images photographed with cell phones beginning Nov. 1 and submitted by Nov. 28 at 11:59 p.m. using this entry form.
