Satterthwaite
JEANC President Julia Satterthwaite has been named the 2025 High School Journalism Teacher of the Year.
Satterthwaite is also the adviser of the nationally award-winning El Estoque and elestoque.org at Monta Vista High School in Cupertino. She also serves as a mentor for new scholastic media teachers through the Journalism Education Association.
The annual Teacher of the Year competition is administrated by Columbia Scholastic Press Association in conjunction with the Dow Jones News Fund. The official presentation will be made at the annual CSPA Spring Convention in March at Columbia University in New York City.
