Fitz Vo advises the “Bear Witness” newspaper at Branham High School in San Jose. He has been a board member of JEANC for the past four years and is also a member of the  Journalism Education Association. Prior to teaching primarily chemistry and advising the Bear Witness, he worked for the Sacramento Bee and the Monterey County Herald as a news copy editor and layout artist.
