How long have you been advising? At the same school? Other schools? Where are you originally from?
This is my 13th year advising, my ninth at my current school. I was born and raised in the Bay Area, in Los Altos.

What’s the best part of your advising day?

Celebrating small wins with my students! And we celebrate our last day of classes each month for our deadline day with food, usually either bagels or donuts!

What’s great about your publication kids?
They have such great energy and excitement about most things they do. and they are funny and give good roasts!

What’s your favorite part of being an adviser?
My students! And our community that we have built in our program!

Where do you find your journalistic inspiration?
Mostly in the news I read. I love reading the NYT and The Skimm daily email each morning!

What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy gardening and taking my yellow Labrador to either the beach or the dog park.
