November photo contest results announced

Entries focused on theme of ‘abundance’

First Place: Alyssa Tay, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)

Attempting to capture the theme “abundance,” 19 student photographers submitted cell phone photo entries in JEANC’s monthly photo contest for November. Submissions represented seven NorCal junior high, middle and high school programs taught by adviser members. Judges reviewed 39 entries online after the Nov. 28 submission deadline and first released results on Twitter and Facebook.

November winners are:

First Place: Alyssa Tay, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)
Second Place: Isabella Zardo, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)
Third Place: Anadelia Andersen, James C. Enochs High School (Tamra McCarthy, adviser)
Honorable Mention:
Sara Kaulahao, Whitney High School (Sarah Nichols, adviser)

This critique video showcases a sampling of 15+ submissions so students can learn from judges’ feedback and gain inspiration from the work of their peers.

The December contest theme is “festive.” Students of adviser members may enter up to three images photographed with cell phones beginning Dec. 1 and submitted by Dec. 28 at 11:59 p.m. using this entry form.
